Billy’s Blog – Monday, 14th Jan ’13
Hi chums! What a start to the New year! We had three cracking gigs in Cork and Slane. This Saturday, we are back down in Cork in The Lodge in Mallow. It should be a good one. We have also been booked to play at a festival in Spain on the 22nd June so keep an eye on our website for all the details.
Last week on our way to Cork we were talking about some of the funny things we have gotten up to over the years. One time we were on tour in Germany. After the gig we were having a drink in the bar and decided to have some fun as you do. Now Joe is very neat and tidy and likes everything to be in its place. While we were having the craic in the bar, some of us went up to his room and got every piece of furniture in the room (bed, TV, lamps, wardrobe, table etc and put it all into the bathroom so his room was completely EMPTY!! Anyway, when we decided to hit the sack, we all waited on Joe to open his door. The look on his face was priceless!!! “What the F*CK!” he said. If course, we were pissing ourselves laughing and we all went to bed leaving Joe to sort his room out! 🙂 I know it’s childish behaviour but when you’re on tour, it’s these things that keep you going!! Ha ha!
Olympia tickets went on sale last Monday for St Patrick’s night. We are already working on how to better the Vicar Street gig. Make sure to get your tickets as I said this gig is going to sell out! We are nearly finished the charity single we are doing with Don Mescall in aid of PIETA house. We just have to do a video for it and it will be released. I will keep you updated on it. The song is called “Catch My Fall”. We look forward to you all hearing it.
Cheers, Billy 😉
