Billy’s Blog – Friday, 15th January ’16

Hi Gang!

Well the two Vicar Street gigs were just amazing! Thank you all so much. It was a great start to 2016 and we were blown away by the great vibe at the gig!

Big thanks to the members of the choir “Songs in the Key of D” who really added to the gig in a big way. Our next gigs are on the 13th February 2016 in The Abbey Hotel, look Donegal town and then in the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on the 16th March 2016. We can’t wait!

We’re very sad to hear of the death of David Bowie. We had the pleasure of supporting him in Slane Castle back in 1988. We were recording “Feel No Shame” at the time and we came out of the studio to the gig. To this day, it was one of the best gigs Aslan have ever played, maybe because it was our first big gig and we were just about to release our debut album and the reception we got blew us away! It was a day we will never forget. RIP David Bowie.
Jake asked me to thank you all for giving The Valves a great response. I will let you all know when their next gig is.

Please note, if you are making plans to go to the Olympia gig, it is nearly sold out. You have been warned!

We would like to wish you all a very happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you at the gigs.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page as more gigs are being planned!

Cheers, Billy.
